CONTACT Photography Festival

The Aurora Museum & Archives is proud to announce that our upcoming exhibition Aurora Through the Archives: [un]Framed and in Focus has been elected as a Core Exhibition for the 2025 CONTACT Photography Festival!

Aurora Through the Archives: [un]Framed and in Focus presents an immersive installation of archival photographs allowing visitors to step into the past through enhanced visual narrative. Featuring original images augmented with interpretive frames, the exhibition reveals hidden details and deeper stories behind each photograph. Exploring themes of celebration, resilience, and identity, the selection of images reflects the activities, values, and transformations of the community. Curated by the Aurora Museum & Archives and displayed at Aurora Town Square, this exhibition is more than a collection of images—it is an invitation to engage with the nuanced history of the community.
